I think it's been a long time since I posted here. My deepest apologies. I truly miss online poker. What have I been doing,...probably a quaestion from when I'n sober. Not that I actually spend a lot of time drinking, but tonight, I'll admit to being drunk. I'm enjoying a nice bottle of Glenfiddich 15 while spending some time online. I've cashed in my 4th consecutive online poker tournament and really wishing online poker was legal. I just called our @easycure for never linking to this blog, which, when looking back isn't that hard to blame. I haven't really posted here in years. Since I'm hacking @OhCaptain lately, I hope to post here more often. I've spent the better part of 3 months journalling, a sober version of myself should post here. This used to ne a fairly active forum. If you're still paying attention, let me know, it will motivate me to post more. I'm a poker player in exile and it sucks.

Hello, my name is OhCaptain...

It's been a very long time since I posted here. I'm not saying I'll post here more often but I feel like writing here tonight.

This pandemic is really a weird thing. I've been working from home since March 11, which is good. I really feel for those that are losing their jobs. This whole things sucks, but I've really tried to keep most politics off this blog.

If there was ever a time I'd like to have online poker back...it's now. I'm stuck at home. The card rooms are closed. Seriously...open online poker.

I've been playing a few games online. Free poker is still there. I've been playing that, what can I say, I'm still a junkie for check raising tourists.

My whiskey club has been meeting virtually. We created a Home Game on PokerStars and have been playing there. It sort of works. Most of the guys are convinced online poker is rigged. I'm not sure I believe that, but it seems to fall in my favor more than it doesn't.

Why am I posting? I don't know. I just finished playing a several hour poker tournament online, while Rounders played on the monitor next to me. I guess I'm just Jonesing for the old days.

"Why the fuck did you lay that down?" - said Tedd KGB.

What I really love about this movie is I really relate to Mikey McD. I've always admired his style of play. It's honest but smart. It's patient but when it's time, it crushes. There's a lot of joy sitting at the table with Teddy KGB and knowing his tells. Using those tells to play the man, not the cards.

I've spent portions of my life sitting at the table with Teddy. He should be feared. Gawd damn, you do the wrong thing and the find your body in the Hudson. Playing straight up...he's never going to hurt you because it would kill his business if everyone knew his game was crocked.

"This son of bitch. All night with the check check check." - patience. Letting your opponent fall on their own sword. That's one of the best parts of the game.

Enough blathering for one night. Time to crash. Please...let's find some more games. Two stacks of high society are itching for a good time.

Joining the PokerStars.NET Home Game

I'll try this..screen shots with words:

Once you've logged into PokerStars with you login, on the lower left side is the Home Games button.
If is possible to have the screen size small. The corner where this is will display this:

Click that and you'll see "Home Games.

Once in Home Games, it will be time to join our club. Click the Join a Poker Club button:

Once you click that button, you'll be presented with a new screen to enter the information from the club I sent in the email. I'd post it here but then every Tom, Dick and Harry would be able to join our club and I don't know that we want a world of strangers joining us

As usual, send me any question or post them here for others to see and I'll get them answered.

I updated the poker payout structure based on our going over 20 buyins on a more regular basis. It's up to 30 now. Can someone audit the table and make sure it makes sense and others if you could let me know if the layout and structure look good?

Thanks!

Whiskeys and points are updated. Tim, at 84 points, needs just 16 points to win. Darren is next with 68, Jon and Raul have 63, and Alex has 61.
